Panettone bread & butter pudding - Recipe corner

At Christmas it seems there are always bits of food left over, panettone in our house is always lurking at the back of the bread bin so here is my way of using it up in a really delicious way
I adore classic bread and butter pudding but this is a Christmas version
You will need:
Panettone around 500g
4 eggs
500ml milk
A little butter
You can use any tin you have to hand, around 6-9 inches wide
Grease it with butter and the layer your slices of panettone on top of one another making sure you grate some nutmeg and sprinkle some cinnamon after each layer
Crack your eggs and pour the milk into a jug and whisk, pour over your beautiful Italian cake and sprinkle with a little golden granulated sugar. Bake for 20 minutes at 180c, perfection
