Animals on cupcakes?

We've been celebrating my little boy Jasper's birthday this last week, it was his birthday last Sunday and we then had a joint party organised with his friend R who is the son of steady eye brows from the nimble fingers and steady eyebrows blog, check it out

http://nimblefingersandsteadyeyebrows.blogspot.co.uk/

In preparation for Sundays party the boys and I made chocolate cupcakes......recipe at the bottom

Asa (4) did all the stirring with a little help from my Kitchen Aid.

Jasper was very happy scrunching up all the used eggs shells

Beautiful mountains of organic flour + green and blacks cocoa powder

Distraction was needed while I put the mixture into the cases, today it came in the shape of a cow and chicken. Yum Yum xx

Here they are all piped and finished ready for the birthday party. Keep an eye out for my next blog for all the party goings on xx

Recipe:

80g butter or stork. I use stork as it helps the cupcake rise more evenly
160g golden caster sugar
2 free range eggs
150 ml semi or full fat milk
1tsp white wine vinegar 110g self raising flour (I use either own brand organic or McDougalls"00" )
40g green&blacks cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder

Mix the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy
Add the eggs one at a time
Pour in the milk and mix
Add the vinegars and mix until thew mixture splits
Sieve the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder and mix

Pour into your cases 3/4 full and bake at 180c for 19 minutes. Done xx

Take care, Natalie xx
