Hello everyone,
I have started this blog to update you on my business give you some great tried and tested recipes and also my day to day life
Today has been one of those days where everything falls into place, this does not always happen in our house...
A went to pre-school while J and I met a good friend for lunch then went for a lovely cycle ride.
We then cycled and A scooted home, past the stream (bums in the air) and then past a beautiful garden which the boys think is Mr Mcgreggors from Peter Rabbit, I've decided not to correct them as it's so innocent and makes me remember what I was like as a little girl. I used to cut the wings off my My Little Ponies and put them on a little bridge by our local stream, I thought the fairies would use them to make wings for the baby fairies! anyway I digress
I made a delish meal, chicken snizzle, roasted potatoes with some semolina for extra crunch and french peas (I sneaked in a bit of extra broc... 5 a day and all that) for tea, we then all cleaned the kitchen floor together
To make french peas, put 50g butter into a large sauce pan. Chop 2 leeks and fry gently. Add 500g peas and half a soft lettuce finely sliced. Then add one vegetable stock cube and 50 ml water. Put the lid on and cook for 10 minutes. This is the first time I've been able to get my boys to eat lettuce and they did not even know it!
Speak soon, Natalie xx
It was lovely to see you for lunch! I shall give French peas a try - any recipe that I can sneak extra veggies into is a winner with me. Laura xx
